With a large surface area, each transilluminator serves as the perfect workstation for viewing and working with fluorescently stained protein and nucleic acid gels. It provides ultraviolet (UV) light to visualize DNA, RNA or proteins. These instruments make it easy to visualize and analyze samples, especially in genetic analysis such as gel electrophoresis and PCR.
